our yearly summer photo project: a scavenger hunt between two friends while one resides in mozambique/nepal and the other resides in the united states. new for 2009: you picked the subjects, we take the pictures.
Freaking Justin and your oh-wow lens. Dang that thing can zoom. Awesome pairing my friend ... cool to know that you're headed back to The Heartland of America underneath THAT moon.
You wouldn't believe how many nights it took for me to get this shot right.
It gets dark so early (4:30pm) in Mozambique, that it was hard to be outside at the right time, when the moon could be seen and it wasn't directly above me.
It is really hard to shoot on a tripod, with your camera pointing straight up. The locals thought I was nuts.
Please comment and let us know your thoughts—we'd love for this project to generate conversation on who we are as people and how our
cultures are sometimes entirely different and sometimes entirely the same. Thanks for visiting!
